About Us

Equine Veterinary Associates was founded in 1982 as an ambulatory/farm call practice serving Montgomery and north Harris counties. As the practice grew, it was evident that a central location from which to operate was needed. The current hospital/surgical facility was built in 1985- the site chosen in the geographic center of the practice area. Since 1982, EVA has consistently provided quality veterinary service to the local community and beyond.

At EVA we have your horses’ health care needs as our top concern. Preventative medicine is a cornerstone of our practice. This includes vaccination programs, parasite control, and nutritional consultation. We provide a complete equine dentistry service. Our lameness and sports medicine service includes digital radiography and digital ultrasound imaging to address a variety of musculoskeletal problems. We consult and work with local farriers regarding corrective shoeing. Our doctors and technicians attend regular continuing education programs to stay abreast of new techniques in treating lameness, colic, respiratory disease, and other conditions. An in-house laboratory can provide immediate results for critical care cases as well as most routine lab tests. We provide a 24 hour emergency service for our clients and maintain a close working relationship with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M, and other referral hospitals in the area for consultation and referrals.
